Police Find Alzheimer’s Patient was Sexually Abused

Deputies were investigating a case of sexual abuse in a nursing home. Police say that they discovered an 81-year-old visitor fondling an 86-year-old resident with Alzheimer’s disease. The police say that the 86-year-old woman is not aware of her surroundings, and the elderly man is facing a charge of abuse of an incapacitated person. Police believe that the man is a relative of the sexual abuse victim. Sexual abuse can occur in nursing homes across the country, including Chicago, Illinois.
