Pair of Employees Indicted in Nursing Home Abuse Case

Two former nurse’s aides at a nursing home have been indicted on elderly abuse and neglect charges stemming from an investigation into an alleged 2008 incident. The indictments come as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged physical abuse of a former resident at the nursing home. One nurse’s age is charged with wanton abuse and neglect of an adult and the other is charged with reckless abuse and neglect of an adult. Earlier this month another employee pled guilty and was sentenced to 12 months in jail for reckless abuse and neglect of an adult. Elderly abuse can occur at nursing homes across the country, including Chicago, Illinois. To read more about the elderly abuse, please click the link.
