Owner of Personal Care Home is Investigated

The owner of a personal care home is being investigated for possible elderly abuse violations. broke the story in which officials say the probe into the facility started from complaints from residents. Officials found residents in the middle of the street complaining about mistreatment at the house. Residents were not living in conditions that were healthy. The food was locked away from residents and medicine was not being taken properly. Staff stated that residents were only allowed one meal a day and the refrigerator was locked. Investigators found dirty clothes and dishes everywhere. The investigator believed that the only “livable” room was where the owner slept. Currently there were 8 residents living in the neglected nursing home. Currently there have been no charges filed regarding the nursing home abuse.
