Nursing Home is alleged to have Predator Roaming the Halls

In a nursing home cradled in mountains, workers say a predator stalked the elderly in its halls. Authorities say that for nearly a decade, he fondled, groped and may have even sodomized patients. These were patients who may have not been able to walk, speak or see. The man was identified as a nurses’ aide and despite complaints from fellow employees, managers allowed him to stay in the position. His first complaint of sexual abuse was in 2000 of an elderly woman with early dementia. Despite numerous complaints there was never an investigation of the incident, despite state law requiring investigations of elderly abuse. The man finally resigned in 2007, several months after a police investigation of the home. To read more about the elderly abuse, please click the link.
