Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Nursing Home Patient

An 84-year-old nursing home visitor was arrested for first degree sexual assault after he inappropriately touched an 87-year-old patient. Police say that a nurse saw the man pushing the victim down the hall into her room, then noticed he never came out. The witness says the curtain was pulled closed and when she opened it, the suspect was sexually abusing the victim. The man is a registered sex offender for the rape of a 13-year-old. He claims he was visiting his wife at the nursing home. The nursing home states that they took the correct steps regarding the sexual abuse.
