A former employee of a nursing home has been arrested on charges that she abused a disabled resident of the facility. The woman was arrested after receiving information from the state’s department of children and families. Witnesses observed the employee grab the victim by his feet and pulled him off the facility’s van, causing him to strike his head on the floor of the van, the running board and the pavement. Eyewitnesses were shocked by the elderly abuse that she had observed. The employee was immediately suspended after the physical abuse and soon quit working at the facility.
