Patient’s Wishes Not Followed by Nursing Home
After the death of a nursing home resident, the individual given power of attorney by the patient filed a lawsuit against the nursing home and medical director for failure to follow the patient’s wishes. Residents of nursing homes are often encouraged to create powers of attorney to have their wishes followed; however there have been issues with their wishes not being followed.
