Village Nursing Home – Skokie, IL – 5/1/2006
Village Nursing Home was fined $6,000 for failure to adequately monitor and supervise a recently admitted resident with a history of confusion. The resident, who also had a prior history of leaving another nursing facility, was able to leave Village Nursing Home without staff knowledge. Staff notified police, who later found the resident about 2 miles from the facility, wearing slippers and no coat.
The Illinois Department of Health produces quarterly reports on nursing home violators.
