Fined for failure to check the Nurse Aide Registry prior to allowing a new employee to provide direct resident care. This resulted in a certified nursing assistant, who had a finding of abuse on the Nurse Aide Registry and a disqualifying crime, being verbally abusive to a resident. After the facility’s investigation, the employee was fired.
