Nursing home abuse in Waukegan Illinois at Pine Terrace

A resident at Lake County nursing home Pine Terrace complained to the staff of pain, difficulty swallowing, and vomiting. The resident also complained of weakness, increased thirst and increased urination – all early signs of diabetes. The resident had lost 20 pounds in a month. Despite these symptoms the staff failed to notify medical personnel. The resident was eventually admitted to the hospital and died 6 days later of pancreatitis, acute diabetes and renal failure.
